Taiwan is a country with multiple religious beliefs, and many unique traditional cultures and folk customs have been developed in Taiwan. Matsu is a very common patron saint among the people of Taiwan, especially in the western coastal areas, because she is the deity of the sea. The Matsu Pilgrimage in March in lunar calendar every year, which has become an important festival in Taiwan. Millions of people will participate in this religious event. Worshipper gather on the street, line up in a long line, carry the sedan chair and flags, and follow Matsu to patrol everywhere, blessing people to be safe this year.
There are also many very special and interesting Taiwanese cultures, such as the leader of the parade. People use colorful paints to paint on their faces, making them look very ferocious. We call them the eight generals. Everyone has different patterns on their faces, and they dance folk dances, which people think can drive out ghosts.
I think that I am very happy to be born in Taiwan and I can freely choose my religious beliefs. It is also because of polytheistic beliefs that Taiwan has created unique folk customs and added a sense of mystery to the culture. Taiwan also has a lot of deities, and I hope they can always bless this beautiful and free country.

The Philippines prides itself on solidarity and resilience. (Looking from the top left) The country’s flag colours symbolize peace, justice, and truth which applies to all the 7000 islands. During the Spanish control over the country in 1896, Filipino nationalists have fought for the country’s independence, resulting in the Spanish-American war. The Philippines’ local transportation as it is known today, called the "jeepney", was created during the war for independence, which was used to transport troops. When the Philippines gained independence, freedom and merriness flooded the country. The people will never forget that historical period that formed their country into what it is today. Although being free from the Spaniards, the people still held on to what they have been doing under the influence of the Spaniards. Fiestas were held to commemorate special events such as religious events and many more. As it is known in many parts of the world, Filipinos pride themselves in being the powerhouse of voices. Singing to their heart’s content with joy and happiness. The star-shaped symbols are called "Parols" which is hanged in every corner when it comes to the Christmas season, as, Filipinos put very much value on family gatherings. The little symbols at the end of the paragraph in the poster, which translates to "The Philippines", are the original writings of the Filipinos in the precolonial period, called "Baybayin". |

"Indonesia is a country of rich culture and tradition. The Reog dance represents one of them. It is a regional dance which originates from the northwestern part of eastern Java, Indonesia. This traditional dance is a form of performance art of the Ponogoro community, with its history originating from folklore. On this account, Reog is said to contain strong mysticism. It is still preserved until today to strengthen the ties of the Ponogoro community. The Reog dance is accompanied by a variety of traditional Indonesian musical instruments such as the Gong, Bonang, and Terompet. During the performances, dancers are adorned with the accessory of a lion head and mesmerizing peacock feathers. The lion head is a very large piece of accessory that weighs almost 50 kilograms. An
interesting fact is that the dancers only use their teeth to bite the lion-headed crown to keep it in position. Additionally, a female dancer termed as ‘Jathil’ would dance on top of the lion-headed crown, adding even more weight to it. Sometimes, a volunteer from the crowd would be offered to sit on top of the lion head.
Reog performances emerged since the 1920s and is still performed until today. The execution of this unique and fascinating performance contains historical, religious, and educational values, which makes it a popular entertainment in Indonesia. Today, Reog is known and performed internationally. Hopefully in the future, this tradition could become even more widespread globally and become a means to attract more tourists in Indonesia."

Since I was a kid, I have been going to Kinmen almost every year to visit my mother. Every time I return, I just can not avoid noticing all the statues, old buildings, and the natural landscape. Although many people may think there is not much to do in Kinmen, which might be true depending on each person’s interest, I believe it is not only about what you can find; instead, we should ask ourselves: "How can I enjoy this at the maximum?". Many places might seem boring without any exciting activity to do, but we can just look inside our heads and come up with something! Nowadays, sometimes we can be overwhelmed by urban life and how fast everything passes by. I think Kinmen is one of the places where we can just get away from all the city noise and relax. The concept of this poster represents the environment on this island: simple. I also chose to use the old-style telephone booth because it is really something unique about the island and it has an ingenious design; you can find this kind of booths all around the island. It is good for the mind and the body to get exposed to nature once in a while. Kinmen not only offers that, but is also full of valuable history about the island and Taiwany, making it a must-visit destination. |

"Stunned by this view and its beauty, I took the photo immediately. Spend a lots of time staring at the endless horizon, which sky and ocean combined together. It makes me started thinking how amazing the nature is. Taiwan is an island surround by the ocean. You can find ""Mountains meet the Sea"" in Taiwan. Due to different terrains, we can easily find diversity of species and ecologies. Its beauty is not inferior than other foreign countries at all. During the Covid-19 pandemic, we can spend more time to get to know more about our homeland. I’m pretty sure it will worth it. The inspiration of the title is from a poetry which written by Dee Daffodil. The poem is describing a couple who love mountains and the ocean respectively. As time goes by, the differences between them become notable. Arguing and leaving are inevitable. However, the port indicate that even though this couple are heading to their own way. Some day in the future they will meet with each other again. |
